Belonging and Connectedness at MIT: Community Voices

November 16, 2022 @ 4:00 pm 5:30 pm

Join us for a panel including MIT faculty, staff, and students discussing “Belonging and Connectedness at MIT: Community Voices”, an event inspired by this semester’s MIT Reads selection, “Together” by Vivek K Murthy.

Building on themes discussed in the book – which sheds light on the importance of human connectedness in an often lonely world – panelists will share their perspectives on belonging and connectedness at the Institute, including: common challenges in connecting with each other, creative solutions to help build a more connected institute, finding and creating joy, and much more – and plenty of time for your questions and ideas, too.

Panelists:

Larry Anderson, Head Coach, MIT Men’s Basketball Team and Head of House, Tang Hall
Yunbeen Bae ‘24, Medlink and Wellbeing Ambassador
Megan Jordan, Associate Director, MindHandHeart
Thea Keith-Lucas, Chaplain to the Institute
Franklin Nguyen ‘25, Medlink and Wellbeing Ambassador
