| As of June 2, 2026, 389 students donated 2,657 meal swipes this academic year. To help promote the program, the Wellbeing Ambassadors partnered with FSAT to design New SwipeShare promotional materials; you can use this promotional kit to share on your platforms. This academic year, the Division of Student Life (DSL) provided over 650 eligible on-campus undergraduate students 15 meal swipes each semester with the Proactive Meal Swipe program. This winter break, the Bridge Meal Plan program issued approximately 380 students daily Grubhub stipends to help supplement their meals during the break.During IAP, over 1,200 eligible undergraduate students utilized a weekly $150 stipend in TechCash to supplement their food costs as part of the IAP Flex Dollars Program. The RetailSwipe Program, which provides meal swipes valued at $16 that can used at all cafés around campus, had a successful 2nd year with approximately 2,300 swipes being utilized by over 270 students. The Tap & Go program, piloted this year by MIT Campus Dining, allows students the convenience of using a meal swipe at Dean's Beans Café Mon-Fri between 11-2:30pm to pick up a packaged lunch they can take to go. In its first year, the program has already seen over 3,700 swipes utilized for tap and go lunches. The Fresh Food Bags Program, a collaboration between MIT’s Office of Sustainability (MITOS), MIT Anthropology, Hannan Healthy Foods, and the MIT Farm student organization, sold boxes of fresh, organic produce to the MIT community for $10 per box — half off the typical wholesale price. The weekly farm stands ran on Mondays in the Fall and Spring and will return next year. MIT Farm was recently awarded the Karl Taylor Compton Prize at this year’s MIT Student Awards Convocation in recognition of their achievements in citizenship and devotion to the welfare of MIT; visit their website to learn more about their mission or join their mailing list. DormCon has partnered with four residential cook-for-yourself communities to pilot the House Pantry Project, establishing free food pantries stocked with non-perishable food items these communities can use and enjoy. |

| This summer, MIT’s Office of Sustainability, recent recipients of the MIT Excellence Award for Innovative Solutions, is partnering with the New Entry Sustainable Farming Project to pilot the Community Supported Agriculture program at MIT. With support from the UA and GSC, this program will bring fresh, affordable vegetables directly to campus by allowing community members to buy a share of a farm’s harvest in advance. This model provides farmers with essential upfront income, and in return, members receive a regular supply of fresh produce. To stay involved with sustainable food on campus beyond the CSA, join the mailing list. This summer, the FSAT communications group partnered with the Health Promotion Working Group (HPWG) to provide on-campus students our annual online resource guide which will include food resources, support services available over the summer, and free activities in Boston. The summer resource guide launched in early June on the DoingWell website. If you have any events, initiatives, or resources you’d like to include throughout the summer please send them to hpwgcomms@mit.edu. |
