SUMMARY:I Am A LEADer Student Virtual Diversity Conference
DESCRIPTION:Through collaborative efforts between Student Organizations\, Leadership\, and Engagement (SOLE)\, LBGTQ+ Services\, Women and Gender Services (WXGS) and Intercultural Engagement (i.e.)\, over 400 students have participated in the I Am a LEADer virtual conference for the last 3 years! Last year we had just about 100 students participate and gave out 15+ LEADer badges to students who completed at least 8 of the 21 workshops over the last week of IAP.  \nThe conference will take place virtually over the last week of IAP from January 29th – February 2nd\, 2024 and is open to all MIT undergraduates\, graduates\, and postdocs! NOTE: Post-Doctoral Students should email iamaleader@mit.edu to register for this event.

DESCRIPTION:Boston College\, Boston University\, Brandeis University\, Harvard University\, Massachusetts Institute of Technology\, Northeastern University\, Tufts University\, University of Massachusetts\, and Wellesley University present the first session in the panel series\, ” Dialogue & Action in an Age of Divides: Hate and Free Speech.” \nIn this session\, panelists discuss the significance of free speech\, and its limitations\, in the context of controversies over the ways in which speech can relate to Anti-Semitism\, Islamophobia and other identity-based racisms. \nAfter exchanges among the panelists\, the moderator will take questions from the virtual audience for each panel.
