DESCRIPTION:Want to get exercise during the day with others? Join a getfit sponsored tunnel walk for a 45-minute walk led by a volunteer through MIT’s famous tunnel system*. This walk may include stairs/inclines. Wear comfortable shoes. Free. \nTunnel Walk Leaders will have a white flag they will raise at the meeting spot for you to find them. \n*When the weather is nice\, walk leaders may offer to walk outside rather than through the tunnels. The majority vote of the group will decide whether the walk is indoors or outdoors. \nDisclaimer: Tunnel walks are led by volunteers. In the rare occasions when a volunteer isn’t able to make it\, we will do our best to notify participants. In the event we are unable to notify participants and a walk leader does not show up\, we encourage you to walk as much as you feel comfortable doing so. We encourage you to check the website just before you head out. \ngetfit is a 12-week fitness challenge for the entire MIT community. These tunnel walks are open to the entire MIT community and you do not need to be a current getfit participant to join.

DESCRIPTION:Want to get exercise during the day with others? Join a getfit sponsored tunnel walk for a 45-minute walk led by a volunteer through MIT’s famous tunnel system*. This walk may include stairs/inclines. Wear comfortable shoes. Free. \nTunnel Walk Leaders will have a white flag they will raise at the meeting spot for you to find them. \n*When the weather is nice\, walk leaders may offer to walk outside rather than through the tunnels. The majority vote of the group will decide whether the walk is indoors or outdoors. \nDisclaimer: Tunnel walks are led by volunteers. In the rare occasions when a volunteer isn’t able to make it\, we will do our best to notify participants. In the event we are unable to notify participants and a walk leader does not show up\, we encourage you to walk as much as you feel comfortable doing so. We encourage you to check the website just before you head out. \ngetfit is a 12-week fitness challenge for the entire MIT community. DESCRIPTION:The Libraries are happy to resume our weekly half hour of silent mindfulness\, now held in The Oasis (located on the second floor of the Hayden Library) every Wednesday at noon from March 9 through the end of May. \nThe Oasis of Calm is open to all.  No previous experience is necessary\, and you don’t have to stay for the full half hour; even a few minutes of stillness will help you be more relaxed\, energized\, and productive. \nPlease email ce-lib@mit.edu if you require special accommodations in order to participate.
