DESCRIPTION:Open your mind and manage your stress! Koru is a four-week introduction to the practice of mindfulness. Participation in Koru is associated with decreased stress and self-judgment and increased mindfulness and sleep quality. Mindfulness is about developing the ability to be fully attentive to all the moments of your life\, reducing the amount of time you spend worrying about the future or fretting about the past. You will learn multiple skills\, including meditation\, breathing exercises\, guided imagery\, the body scan and more. Each of these skills is designed to help you manage stress and enrich your life. \n\n\n\nAttendance at all four classes is required. There will be 10 minutes of mindfulness practice per day required.

It consists of a winding path from the outside to the center and back. Labyrinth walks are a great way to reduce stress and focus your mind as your body moves. \nOne of MIT’s labyrinths will be available for anyone who wants to walk its path\, every Monday from 3-5pm. Drop in whenever you want during open hours\, and stay as long as you want.
