Departmental Office Hours

Description:

Academic Departments have hosted in-person and virtual office hours for students.

Steps:

• Designate specific times during the week or month for open office hours. (Create a zoom room if/for a virtual option.)
• Assign department members to staff these hours.
• Publicize and promote those hours to students

Rationale:

• Allows students a consistent way to get a variety of questions answered easily.
• Provides a channel for students to share concerns or feedback with departmental leadership.
• Helps students to familiarize themselves with department leadership.
